Chipotle Night Thank You

Thanks to everyone who made it out to Chipotle night yesterday! We’ll find out how we did in a couple of days, and we will share at our April boosters meeting on Tuesday, 4/11.

Q3 Playing Exams due Wednesday

I sent out the Q3 playing exams over the weekend, and students have until Wednesday to submit, either electronically (video) or in person during their lunch (or some other time when I am available). I will not use class time to listen to a test this quarter.

Howard University Annual Spring Concert

I just got a flyer for the subject concert on Thursday evening. Howard’s Concert Band director guest conducted the festival band last week, and his “Concert” Band (what most of us would call Symphonic Band) is outstanding! Extra credit to anyone (band or orchestra) who attends, and brings me back a program (be prepared to talk to me about the show).

Spring Concert Invitation Flyer

10 times the donation, one day only!

Amazon is celebrating its #1 ranking in customer satisfaction by the ACSI! Today, March 16, Amazon will donate 5% (10 times the usual donation rate) of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Instrumental Parent Boosters. Get started at

Chipotle Fundraiser

We are having our Chipotle fundraiser on Sunday, 3/19 at the Greenbelt Chipotle! Tell them you are with Parkdale Music for us to get the fundraising credit. We earn half of whatever each family buys, so this is a GREAT opportunity for us to raise much needed money for higher quality instruments and music.  Print the attached flyer and bring it with you so that we can earn money with each purchase!

Music T-Shirts

We will be ordering this year’s music t-shirts next week. They are $15, but they are already paid for if students paid their music fees for this year. Students will get order forms in class on Thursday and Friday.

Service Hours Opportunity this Saturday

Berwyn Heights Elementary School is hosting a service project to help beautify their school by helping to take care of their gardens. Please report to BHES from 9-12 for the project.

DaMatha Summer Band & Strings Program

DeMatha HS is having a summer music program (for non-Dematha musicians) in July for both band and strings. Flyer attached.
